The sculpture has been established in honor of all those workers who, for the past decades, have been working on water supply of the city for over a century.
This gift from the public utility company ‘’Vodovod’’ is made in honor of the people who, through their work, contributed to the better life of the citizens. This kind of gift was made on the principle of European metropolises that also have several sculptures of ordinary citizens who gave unselfish contribution to the cities.
