The Haymaking Competition is a unique event characteristic of our region. It is infused with ethnographic content aimed at showcasing traditional haymaking practices. The end of the haymaking season was always celebrated with song and joy, signifying that bread was secured not just for the farmer but for all citizens. Today’s haymaking event serves as an ethnic festival aimed at preserving the traditions and customs of the Bačka Bunjevci community.
