The theater exists for 21 years now. It was experimental during some time, so-called city’s artistic theater, recognizable for its special work and aesthetics. There are five permanent actors.
The performances are played in the Hungarian language, and since 2007 there is also a translation into Serbian. Performances in this theater are proof that experimental pieces can be part of the theater mainstream, and at the same time, according to art standards, they take a prominent place in the region. Since 2009, the theater has its regional, international, contemporary theater festival, Desire Central Station, which has got an important position in the cultural life of this region.
