The Town Tenement Palace was designed in the spirit of Vienna Secession with such creativity that it stands out from all the other palaces in the city. Its author, architect Pál Vadász, using a modern concept, and simplified forms, construction and choice of materials, designed this aesthetically valuable and exceptional building.
The calmness of an ascetic, geometric Art Nouveau is softened by human figures on a gold background (below the angular tower), unobtrusive mosaics with stylized birds (at the bottom of the bay window) and wrought iron masks (above the entrance door) – which is a direct influence of Viennese painters and architects from the turn of the century.
