As part of the Interreg IPA Croatia–Serbia “Majestic ZOO’s” project, which we proudly presented at the recent Belgrade International Fair of Tourism, our magical mascots captured great attention alongside an interactive presentation of the project’s activities and goals.

We also hosted an engaging lecture as part of the “Family Welcome” program, further highlighting the importance of developing family-oriented tourism. In the coming period, certificates will be awarded to participants, confirming tourism stakeholders who have been certified for the very first time as ideal hosts for family tourism in our destination.

“It is particularly important to us that through the ‘Majestic ZOO’s’ project, we are making a tangible contribution to creating truly family-friendly destinations. The certification of tourism actors and education through the ‘Family Welcome’ program prove that we are moving in the right direction—toward creating a higher-quality, richer tourist experience for our youngest guests and their parents,” emphasized Božidarka Golubović, Director of the Tourist Organization of the City of Subotica.

Coming up soon is an Open Day at the Palić Zoo for 450 children, where we will showcase three exciting new additions through fun workshops and play: an outdoor classroom, a Baby ZOO, and a brand-new children’s playground. We are also preparing for a study visit of journalists to Osijek and Subotica to further promote these great project achievements.
