Tourism in Subotica and Palić continues to deliver exceptional results throughout the first five months of 2026. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the period between January and May recorded a strong rise in both tourist arrivals and overnight stays, confirming the area’s steady momentum and a highly successful start to the tourism year.

During the first five months of this year, Subotica welcomed 52,804 tourists—a 10.3% increase compared to the same period last year—and registered 120,040 overnight stays, representing an 11.4% growth over January–May 2025.

Meanwhile, Palić recorded 11,001 tourist arrivals (up 2.9% year-over-year) and reached 25,472 overnight stays, marking an impressive 11.2% increase.

Combined, Subotica and Palić achieved 63,805 arrivals and 145,512 overnight stays, highlighting the ever-growing interest among both domestic and international visitors.

“The results we are seeing prove that Subotica and Palić are becoming increasingly attractive destinations for domestic and foreign travelers alike. We continuously enhance our tourism offerings, develop new experiences and events, and benefit from improved transport connectivity, all of which drive higher numbers of arrivals and stays. We are confident this positive momentum will carry right through the summer season,” stated Božidarka Golubović, Director of the Tourism Organization of the City of Subotica.
