As part of a two-day study trip, representatives of Serbian incoming travel agencies and media visited the Kelebija Stud Farm. Tourism professionals and journalists from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Pančevo, Vrnjačka Banja, Šabac, and Subotica got acquainted with the rich tourism offering of our destination.
At a press conference held at the Kelebija Stud Farm, the Director of the Tourist Organization of the City of Subotica, Božidarka Golubović, and the Director of the Kelebija Stud Farm and Hotel Vila Majur, Danilo Uzelac, presented the tourism performance and future ambitions of Subotica, Kelebija, and Palić.
“We are at a location that authentically evokes the charm of northern Bačka. Here, guests can savor Pannonian culinary specialties, live in harmony with nature, and experience the timeless values that define Subotica,” stated Božidarka Golubović, Director of the Tourist Organization of the City of Subotica.
She noted that according to the latest data, Subotica and Palić welcomed 150,000 tourists who recorded 322,000 overnight stays in the first ten months of this year.
Danilo Uzelac, Director of the Kelebija Stud Farm and Hotel Vila Majur, emphasized that the past year was marked by a significant increase in visitor numbers, adding that they are ready to partner with incoming travel agencies to achieve even greater results.
“Hotel Vila Majur, a 4-star property, is currently undergoing renovation, with the complete modernization of all rooms set for completion by February next year. It offers 24 rooms, a swimming pool, a sauna, tennis courts, a fishing lake, and a park. The grand banquet hall has also been renovated, operates year-round, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding pine forest,” said Uzelac.
“The Stud Farm hosts various international equestrian competitions, as well as riding camps and a riding school. It is also home to a Carriage Museum, with future plans to establish a modern educational center dedicated to horse breeding,” Uzelac highlighted.
On the following day, guests of the Tourist Organization of the City of Subotica will tour the top attractions of Subotica and Palić.
